A Modern Day Twist Of Color ~ An Ode To Peace, Love & Tie Dye!
I have always loved tie dye since I was a kid ~ it was colorful and fun to make on craft days, but lets face it growing up in the 70’s tie dye was for flower children & to be worn for those just right occasions ~ like festivals! And as I grew up tie dye disappeared from my wardrobe…but never my heart!
Having the great fortune of becoming a designer and traveling to Thailand, I discovered their unique and creative interpretation of my nostalgic tie dye and I was delighted & fascinated! My mind instantly thrust me back in time, like tie dye itself swirling with colors and memories ~ And I was inspired to bring my childhood whimsy to a modern day world.
We worked on the concept of changing the idea that tie dye was only for groovy old hippies, in fact it could be worn to the most special of occasions when presented right. Our goal: to take these amazing dyes creating flirty and sexy styles that even the most sophisticated woman would wear alongside our grooviest and most delightful old hippie mommas!
One of our first and still one of my most favorite designs is this edgy urban inspired open shoulder long sleeve top. It has just the right amount of peek-a-boo skin showing to make any woman feel frisky. Playful yes! But not only for concerts and parties, this top with a pair of skinny jeans and campus Frye boots you can hit the city showing off your creative style and love for color.
While this may not be a top you can wear to the office, who’s to stop you from wearing it under your classic button up blouse or sweater? Rayon & spandex blend makes it a perfect layer piece, luscious to the touch, comfortable and easy to wear! So when ever you want to bring the magic of the summer of love into your heart, or express you artist nature with your fashion ~ You are sure to find it when you wear one of these beautiful one of a kind pieces of art!
