Easy Chocolate Avocado Hot Fudge Cake Recipe To Die For

There are thousands of different recipes out there that includes the hipster and glorified fruit known to be avocado. There was a point last year when Avocados were the hip and trendy food to eat. People included it in breakfast toasts, salads, wraps, smoothies and every dessert it worked well with.

And, by golly, we’re those people right! I’ve always loved an avocado shake with sweetened milk and crushed ice but I’ve never tried it with chocolate or anything else. I’ve had it with a Mexican wrap but that was it.

Well, for those of you who are as ignorant as I was last year, avocado works great with chocolate. Almost everything works with chocolate if you ask me, but this is one awesome combination. I’m a die hard fan of moist fudge cakes and brownies so this recipe from Gimme Some Oven is a definite top-notcher. Check it out!

Just like what the source says, this recipes takes all of 10 minutes to prepare! This is perfect for someone like me who usually needs a quick chocolate fix. And unlike other healthier vegan recipes, you don’t have to scour the entire grocery to find the ingredients you need.

This recipe is made healthier by omitting the oil and replacing it with mashed avocados. Sugar can be replaced with muscovado or brown sugar. Or, if you have Stevia, you can make this to be a bit more friendly to diabetics.

Making the hot fudge sauce is the best part. Combine sugar, cocoa powder in a bowl and sprinkle it on top of the uncooked batter. You can add some espresso powder or, as my personal preference, Kahlua coffee powder. Then pour some hot water or hot coffee on top of the entire mixture.

Bake it for 35 minutes and then let it sit for another 15 to let the sauce thicken. You can dig in after that or add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream! Check out the full recipe below.
