Barcelona is a City Filled with Brilliant Ideas You can Use to Decorate Your Home
Do you know what’s the best thing about traveling? Some of you might say it’s the food, the culture or the entire experience itself. Personally, I would say it’s the things you get to see.
I love how one place can be part of one world but feel like a different one from the one you live in. I love it when I go to a new place and am in awe with the architecture, infrastructure and the traditional look of preserved streets.
I’m from an archipelago so where I live is surrounded by other islands and almost every other island looks so different. Some have Spanish or Japanese influences and are evident in their buildings.
One of the places I’ve searched about a lot, in hopes that I will be able to visit it one day, is Barcelona. And from the looks of it, Barcelona’s feel is totally doable even in your own home!
Decor Ideas from Barcelona to Try!
Colorful Patterns
There are many places in Barcelona that have colorful patterned tiles on their floors. I have a friend who lives there and she told me many family owned shops keep to the Mediterranean roots even in the means of a colorful flooring! Would you go for a colorful floor in your pad?
Indoor Greenery
According to locals, you won’t find that many homes not decorated with greenery. Many of them prefer succulent plants like a cactus. They thrive in the warmer weathers of Spain and survive during the cold too. Plus, they’re easier to maintain and easy on the eyes.
Don’t Forget the Artwork!
Spain has a very art-centered culture. Creativity flows like free water in this very eclectic city and you’d see that in the way they preserve their traditional and modern style through their decor. One thing that won’t be missing is artwork on the wall. They have some really impressive artwork and varies from modern to renaissance periods.
Balcony Garden
If you look around the residential streets of Barcelona, you’d see that almost every apartment unit has a balcony. And most of these balconies are filled with a growing garden! If you have a balcony, add the feel of the magical city with potted shrubs!
So, are you going to try any of these to your pad? I’m sure I will. Maybe that will get me closer to fulfilling my travel bucket list to Barcelona! *Queue Ed Sheeran song*
