A Milk & Honey Bath Recipe For Glowing Skin
Give yourself permission to pamper yourself and enjoy this heavenly milk and honey bath recipe. You won’t regret it and your skin will love you for it.
Recipe:
3 cups milk (whole fat) – you can also use coconut milk, goat milk or butter milk
1 cup honey
5 Tablespoons of Almond oil, jojoba oil or olive oil. (Get a great almond oil here.)
Optional Additions :
5-10 drops of essential oil such as lavender, vanilla, or chamomile to name a few. (Browse a wonderful selection of essential oils here.)
Rose petals
Preparation:
I like to warm the milk and honey together first so they blend together nicely. However, this is completely optional. If you choose to do so be sure NOT to bring it to a boil, just to a slightly warm temperature. Remove from heat. Add the almond oil, optional essential oil and mix.
How To Use:
Run bath water. Pour mixture into bath, swirling the mix into the water with your hand. Scatter in rose petals if so desired or available. Soak in your warm concoction for 20-30 mins. Polish your skin with a washcloth or loofah, scrubbing softly in a circular motion. When finished, be sure to rinse off, so as to have soft and silky skin rather than a sticky milk and honey residue. Pat dry yourself and finish off by applying an all natural body lotion (I love using this luxurious DIY recipe for a Lavender Coconut Oil Body Lotion)
Please be aware that allergic reactions can occur, even with natural products.
