7 Simmer Pot Recipes to Fill Your Home With the Scents of Fall
I love the smells of fall. There is a comfort and warmth in them. During this time of year I have a pot that lives on my stove top, at the ready for my favorite simmer recipes to fill my house full of their wonderful, all natural aromas.
These simmer recipes are easy, all natural of course and made with just a few simple ingredients.
Cinnamon is one of my all time favorite spices and a fall favorite for many. Along with clove, oranges and apples you can make your house smell fantastic. Many recipes are similar and you can easily change it up by adding or subtracting an ingredient.
Fill a sauce pan or pot with water bring to a boil and then add your desired ingredients. Turn heat down to a simmer letting the aromas fill your home.
Make sure to add more water through out the day as needed, usually every half hour, set your timer just in case. One time I forgot to add more water and the pot burned dry making my house smell of burnt food rather than the pleasant potpourri I was going for.
