I have been wearing hippie head scarves, boho headbands, and tie dyed bandanas in my hair ever since I can remember. They are versatile, stylish, add flair to your outfit, and look fabulous.

They are even practical in some situations. 1. The Ponytail Look

This is great for medium to long hair and super easy to do. Place the scarf on your head like a veil, grab it along with all of your hair and tie/clip it into a pony tail. Add an extra flair by using a ponytail holder with a flower, feather or beads attached to it.

2. As A Classic Headband

Keep your hair out of face with the classic headband look.  Great for both short or long hair. Fold the scarf to a thin width and tie a knot at the nape of your neck. Perfect for keeping those unruly pieces of hair from flying about.

3. The Hippie Headband

The classic hippie headband is worn across the front of your forehead and tied in a simple knot in the back. A favorite look for sure and works for any length of hair.

4. The Twisted Tiara

To get this sweet look tightly twist up your hippie head scarf, place it on the crown of your head, leaving your hair split between the front and back of the “tiara”. Tie a knot underneath your hair at the nape of your neck. Cute for both short or long hair.

A great combination of a classic headband and braid. Place the scarf as you would for wearing it as a headband and instead of tying a knot use the length of the material braiding it into your hair.
