It used to be about family hierarchy but with the modern setting now, some families have the women be the bread winners. Being a career woman does not make one a failure at motherhood. Women can do both and many things alongside it. The same goes for men and fatherhood. Sexism eliminates the essence of equality and balance.

Rarely will you hear society tell men they can’t do things. Single dads are respected but single moms are automatically stereotyped to have been immoral or gullible that resulted them to getting pregnant at an early age.

Though it be true that women are now more embraced in this age, society can’t help but continue to be sexist towards women when it comes to workforce, education, athleticism, independence and even the standard of beauty.

No matter. That only proves to show how the female gender is resilient beyond belief. Yes, sexism is pervasive but it only pushes us to become better, stronger and more independent on our capabilities. This is how I view sexism. Any woman can be an achiever just like any man can rock changing a diaper. Gender equality.
