Okay. So I may have mentioned this in a few other posts before but I’ll say it again. I’m not a flower type of girl. I don’t think receiving flowers from someone is romantic or necessary. I know it’s the thought that counts but I think it’s impractical.

Some women love to receive flowers and that’s totally great. I just prefer receiving something I can consume or use. For instance, I’d choose a bouquet of Ferrero Rocher over a bouquet of flowers any time of the day.

But, there are always exceptions. I would not mind receiving a pot or two of these beautiful “galaxy flowers”.

Night Sky Petunias, also known as Galaxy Flowers, are deep purple flowers with specs of white pigmentation scattered on the petals.

Some of them are really deep purple they appear to be almost blue but it’s still as pretty and as majestic.

There are some where white is more dominant than the deep purple and it’s kind of hard to believe this is not hand painted!

Petunias actually come in different colors and they look like colorful galaxies in space. They come in red, pink, yellow, white and purple. There are also over 30 species and all of them are breathtakingly beautiful.

The cause of this majestic out-of-this-world color? It’s the result of night and day temperature variance.

If you want to achieve the best results, keep them warm in about 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and cool them down to about 50 degrees at night.

What are you waiting for? Head on to your nearest flower shop or green house that carries these beauties! They’re fairly easy to grow as long as you’re attentive to the change of temperature. Then, you can add other colors as you go!

Seriously though. If I received a bouquet or several pots of these Night Sky Petunias, I will not have any second thoughts. They’re so pretty and might be my favorite flower now!
